How does it work?

Acupuncture is a form of Eastern medicine, which means diagnosis, and treatment are thought of with a different mindset than western medicine.

Acupuncture is based on the idea that everything is connected. What happens to one part of the body affects other parts of the body. The mind and body work together. Holding all of this together is qi (pronounced "chi") which is a vital energy or life force.

Acupuncture treatments stimulate specific points in the body, to improve the body's functions and promote the natural self-healing process.

Acupuncture needles.jpg

Does it hurt? No

Many patients feel nervous because they don't like needles. Well these needles are MUCH different than any kind you've seen before. They are incredibly tiny (width: 0.18mm).

Often patients say they can't feel the needle going in, and if they can it feels like a mosquito bite.

Dr. Ali uses the smoothest acupuncture needles to make the experience comfortable for you.
